I offer specialist orthopedic & neurosurgical training and support to veterinary clinics that offer (basic) orthopedic services, and more specialized clinics that want to expand their services and acquire new skills.
Over mijzelf
Mijn naam is Radboud Kemme. Ik ben in 1993 afgestudeerd aan de Universiteit Utrecht en werk sindsdien in meerdere klinieken in Nederland. Vanuit de algemene praktijk heb ik me gespecialiseerd in orthopedie en neurochirurgie gezelschapsdieren middels stages, cursussen en opleidingen aan universiteiten en particuliere klinieken in onder meer de VS, het VK, Italië, Duitsland, België, Spanje en Nederland.
Ik heb ruime ervaring in osteosyntheses, corrigerende osteotomieën, TPLO's/TTA's, elleboog- en schouderartroscopies, cervicale en thoracolumbale decompressie van hernia's, en BioMedtrix totale heupprocedures. Ik heb gewerkt als freelance chirurg in meerdere gespecialiseerde (en enkele eerstelijns) klinieken, heb in 2016 mijn eigen verwijskliniek opgericht en ben sinds 2023 weer terug freelance aan het werk. Ik leg mij toe op het begeleiden, onderwijzen en superviseren van collega's die nieuwe technieken in praktijk willen brengen of gewoon een steuntje in de rug willen hebben bij het uitvoeren van bepaalde procedures.
About me
My name is Radboud Kemme. I graduated from Utrecht University in 1993 and have been working in multiple clinics in the Netherlands ever since. From general practice I specialized in small animal orthopedics and neurosurgery by taking internships, courses and training at universities as well as private enterprise in, amongst others, U.S., U.K., Italy, Germany, Belgium, Spain an the Netherlands.
I have extensive experience in osteosyntheses, corrective osteotomies, TPLOs/TTAs, elbow- and shoulder arthroscopies, cervical and thoracolumbal decompression of hernias, and BioMedtrix total hip procedures. I have worked as a freelance surgeon in several specialized and first-opinion clinics, founded my own referral clinic in 2016 and have returned to working freelance since 2023. I am interested in guiding, teaching and supervising colleagues who want to put new techniques into practice or just want to have a little support in carrying out certain procedures.
Wat ik doe
Wil je nieuwe procedures aanleren, of heb je een nieuwe operatietechniek geleerd en wil je bij je eerste patiënten in eigen kliniek niet helemaal alleen ervoor staan? Ik kom naast je staan en help je door de procedure, daar waar nodig kan ik tips&tricks laten zien.
De kliniek moet in staat zijn om te zorgen voor goede en veilige anesthesie, aseptische procedures voor patiëntvoorbereiding, en toegang moeten hebben tot de juiste diagnostische (beeldvormende) hulpmiddelen (bij voorkeur ook CT) en de benodigde chirurgische boor- en zaag apparatuur, instrumenten en implantaten.
What I do
Do you want to learn new procedures, or have you learned a new surgical technique and do you not want to be completely alone with your first patients in your own clinic? I will stand by you and help you through the procedure, where necessary I can show tips&tricks.
The clinic must be able to provide good and safe anesthesia, aseptic procedures for patient preparation, and must have access to the appropriate diagnostic (imaging) aids (preferably also CT) and the necessary surgical drilling and sawing equipment, instruments and implants.
